Yoga Classes

Pearls of Wisdom Yoga studio is a private, home studio in Boulder, Colorado well-equipped for up to six students. The small group setting allows for more hands-on guidance from Lisa Jo and the ability to work deeply in a practice of devoted, mature Iyengar Yoga practitioners. Students with previous Iyengar Yoga experience or by personal invitation are invited.

Monthly classes focus on the traditional progression of asanas working from the elementary postures, with an emphasis on the standing poses, to forward bends, back bends, twists, inversions and restorative poses. Pranayama is also taught once per month.

Guided Practice

At the Pearls of Wisdom Yoga studio Lisa Jo also offers guided practice sessions for 3-6 students at a time. Guided practice sessions allow each student to work on their own sadhana in a focused way. You learn the art of sequencing and how to apply asana and pranayama for powerful effects on the mind, body, and spirit. For example, if exhausted, you learn the value and effects of restorative poses and how to sequence those asanas to relax and rejuvenate the nervous system.


All sessions at the Pearls of Wisdom studio will help you learn how to prepare the body in a methodical way to open channels that allow progressive integration toward a more aware, intelligent practice, become a more skillful practitioner, and penetrate to deeper layers of yoga asana and pranayama. From the physical to the blissful sheath, these sessions guide your consciousness inward toward the Soul.


Pearls of Wisdom Studio Yoga classes and Guided Practice Sessions are paid through donation only. Fees are applied towards prop maintenance and a scholarship fund that Lisa Jo is building for students in financial need.
